Today, July 22, we activated the Call Center for Hurricane ZZZYX.
The hurricane made landfall in western Florida, where the Red Cross has opened a number of shelters in the Pensacola area. We expect these shelters to be open for at least 7 days, with family services work (individual client attention) getting underway in 3-5 days.
MAIN MESSAGE TO CLIENT CALLERS: The Red Cross is here for you. We will help you find shelter, food and other emergency assistance until the storm danger has passed.
